Founded by fragrance industry veteran Fabrice Croisé and based in Park City, Utah, Scents of Wood is deeply inspired by the practice of Shinrin-Yoku, or forest bathing—a belief in nature’s ability to ground, heal, and awaken the senses. With a name that translates to “the soul of wood,” the brand blends French sophistication with the raw beauty of the forest. Every fragrance is a tribute to the timeless power of trees.

From forests to fragrance—the vision of Fabrice Croisé

Originally from the south of France, Fabrice Croisé is a seasoned fragrance expert now based in the mountains of Park City, Utah. After decades in the global luxury perfume world, he launched Scents of Wood in 2020—a brand rooted in the philosophy of Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing) and inspired by the sacred connection between scent and nature. Each fragrance blends rare ingredients with tree essences aged in wooden barrels, capturing the soul of the forest. Just six months after launch, the brand was awarded Fragrance Extraordinaire of the Year, reflecting Fabrice’s vision to merge French artistry with the immersive beauty of the wild.

This collection was born from what Fabrice calls a “Living Brief”—a creative process that placed perfumers directly in nature. Rather than crafting scents from behind desks and mood boards, they ventured into wild landscapes, breathing in their surroundings, and allowing the sights, textures, and emotions of the trees to guide their work. Using NaturePrint™ technology, perfumers were able to capture scent at its source—gathering the full atmosphere of a moment without disturbing the environment.
